The Pumas! - Under Tens
Winter 08/09
There were two groups of five teams each at Under 10s. The Pumas are in Group A and The Leopards are in Group B.
The Pumas were our Under Nine team playing up a year, and had never played indoors before. It was a steep learning curve, but their progress was really impressive. Boys who struggled to run in pads without falling over their bat, were by the last game sprinting quick singles and creating panic in the fielding side!
The team finished third in the group and met Broadstone in the quarter final. We batted well but were not on top form in the field and unfortunately lost. (report here).
The boys learnt some really valuable lessons from the tournament and their batting, running, and fielding will be so much better for it next summer! Come on April, I can't wait!!
