THE RULES
1) Each team to have one innings of 16 six-ball overs.
2) The batting side shall be divided into pairs, each pair batting for 4 overs and changing pairs at the end of the 4th, 8th and 12th overs.
3) No bowler may bowl more than 3 overs.
4) Each team shall start with a score of 200 runs and accumulate runs as in normal cricket. Every time a wicket falls, 6 runs shall be deducted from the total.
5) If a team is one player short, the lowest scoring batsman from the first pair, taking into account wickets lost, will bat again in the 4th pair. If a team is two players short, they must play the entire game with only 6 players, batting for 12 overs with three pairs.
6) When a batsman is out he shall not face the next delivery, swapping ends as necessary.
7) A wide delivery will incur a penalty of 2 runs, plus any runs scored, but no extra ball shall be bowled except in the last over when 2 runs and an extra ball will both apply.
8) A no-ball will incur a penalty of 2 runs, plus any runs scored, but not extra ball shall be bowled except in the last over when 2 runs and an extra ball will both apply.
9) The pitch is 17 yards (15.55 metres) and the boundary 30 yards (26.43 metres).
10) No player is allowed to field within 11 yards of the bat, except behind the wicket on the off side.
11) 10 poits for a win, 5 points for a tie. 1 batting bonus point is awared for every 10 runs above 200, up to a maximum of 10 bonus points. For the side batting second and winning bonus points will be awarded for wickets in hand. 1 point for 2 wickets in hand, 2 points for 4 wickets in hand, 3 points for 6 wickets in hand, 4 points for 7 wickets, and 5 points for 8 wickets. The maximum batting bonus points is 10 in total. There are no bowling bonus points at under 9.
